Wachovia Complex Tops in Ticket Sales Worldwide in 2004

PHILLY ARENAS SELL 916,650 TICKETS TO NON-SPORTS EVENTS IN 2004

SEVEN GLOBAL SPECTRUM-MANAGED FACILITIES IN TOP 60 IN THE WORLD

(Philadelphia, PA - January 13, 2005) The Wachovia Complex in Philadelphia, PA, sold more tickets in 2004 than any other public assembly facility in the world, according to Pollstar Magazine, the concert industry's leading publication.

The Complex, which combines the 21,000-seat Wachovia Center and the 18,000-seat Wachovia Spectrum, sold 916,650 tickets to non-sporting events from January 1, 2004 through December 31, 2004, according to Pollstar. The number of tickets sold does not include the sports teams, which call the arenas their home.

"This recognition would not be possible without the tremendously talented staff that books the Wachovia Complex, markets the facilities, sells the tickets and prepares the facilities each day for the events," said Comcast-Spectacor Ventures President Peter Luukko. "Additionally, we must thank the promoters, the performers, the acts and the artists who play at our facilities."

The Wachovia Complex outsold the Manchester Evening News Arena (861,041) in Manchester, England; the Bell Centre (662,232) in Montreal, Quebec; the HP Pavilion at San Jose (566,893) in San Jose, CA; Madison Square Garden (503,753) in New York City, NY; the Air Canada Centre (482,040) in Toronto, Ontario; Savvis Center (423,623) in St. Louis, MO; the Palace of Auburn Hills (422,306) in Auburn Hills, MI; the Continental Airlines Arena (407,920) in East Rutherford, NJ; and the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum (394,928) in Uniondale, NY.

Six other facilities managed by Comcast-Spectacor's subsidiary Global Spectrum are featured in Pollstar's Top 60, including 28th-ranked Rose Garden in Portland, OR, the 37th-ranked Dodge Arena in Hidalgo, TX, the 44th-ranked John Labatt Centre in London, Ontario; the 50th-ranked Everett Events Center in Everett, WA, the 51st-ranked Sovereign Bank Arena in Trenton, NJ; and the 58th-ranked Colonial Center on the campus of the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC.

"As the fastest growing firm in the public assembly facility management field, these rankings are a true testament to the way Global Spectrum books and markets our facilities," added Luukko. "We are extremely proud of all of our employees at all of our facilities."

Comcast-Spectacor is the Philadelphia based sports and entertainment firm which owns the Philadelphia Flyers, the Philadelphia 76ers, the Philadelphia Phantoms, the Wachovia Center and Wachovia Spectrum, Flyers Skate Zone community ice skating and ice hockey rinks and Comcast SportsNet.
