Seven Global Spectrum-Managed Arenas Ranked in The World's Best For 2004


Wachovia Compex Outdraws All Competition with 990,022 Visitors

(PHILADELPHIA, PA --- December 13, 2004) Seven Global Spectrum-managed arenas are ranked in the top 20 of their respective size categories by Venues Today in its 2004 Year-End Issue. The rankings compiled by Venues Today, an industry newsletter covering the news behind the headlines, rate arenas based on concert and event ticket grosses for the period of October 15, 2003 through October 15, 2004. They do not include tickets to sporting events.

Global Spectrum is the fastest growing public assembly facility management firm and a subsidiary of Philadelphia-based sports and entertainment firm, Comcast-Spectacor.

The Wachovia Complex in Philadelphia, PA, finished first in attendance with 990,022 visitors and first in total events with 105 in the 15,001-seat to 30,000-seat category. The Complex finished second in highest gross ticket sales with $45,486,132.

The John Labatt Centre in London, Ontario, finished seventh in the 10,001-seats to 15,000-seat category with $9,494,108, attracting 258,784 patrons to 55 events. In the same category, the Sovereign Bank Arena in Trenton, NJ, a mere 35 miles from Philadelphia and 55 miles from New York City, finished 13th with $5,728,946, drawing 246,766 guests to a category best, 77 events.

Four Global Spectrum-managed arenas finished among the top 20 in the 5,001-seat to 10,000-seat venues, including the second-ranked Dodge Arena, the 6,800-seat, multi-purpose arena in Hidalgo, TX, with $1,748,464 in tickets sales, attracting 36,786 visitors to 12 different shows; the seventh-ranked Everett Events Center in Everett, WA, located just 25 miles north of Seattle, with $5,977,604, attracting 199,621 customers to 54 events; the 17th-ranked Budweiser Events Center in Loveland, CO, with $2,776,504, drawing 105,319 customers to 33 events; and the 18th-ranked Constant Convocation Center on the campus of Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA, with $2,528,567, attracting 93,529 patrons to 41 events.
