JIM BRITT NAMED PENGUINS VIDEO COORDINATOR


The Pittsburgh Penguins named Jim Britt as video coordinator, it announced today by Executive Vice President and General Manager Ray Shero.

Britt, 27, spent the previous five years with the Penguins top minor-league affiliate in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. The Philadelphia native was Wilkes-Barre/Scranton’s video coordinator/manager of team services for the past three seasons.

As video coordinator, Britt’s duties included breaking down pre-scout and game film, creating highlight videos and assisting the coaching staff with game preparation and video analyses. In his role as manager of team services, Britt handled every aspect of the team’s operations from travel, housing, hotels and player movement.

Britt graduated with a bachelors degree in psychology from King’s College (Wilkes-Barre, PA) and resides in downtown.

He is a product of USA hockey. In high school, he was a four-year varsity goaltender at Holy Ghost Prep (1996-2000), leading to them to their first ever league playoff (1997). He made Flyers Cup appearances in 1999 (AA Flyers Cup finals) and 2000 (AA Flyers Cup All-Tournament Goaltender.

Jim’s dad is Jim Britt , who is Vice President/Chief Operating Officer Ed Snider Youth Hockey Foundation.
