The Wachovia Center, the 21,000-seat home to the Philadelphia Flyers, is among the top three grossing arenas in the United States, according to Billboard Magazine for 2004.

The Wachovia Center, also home of the 76ers and Wings, joins Madison Square Garden in New York City and Arrowhead Pond in Anaheim, CA, as the top three finalists for an award that will be announced at the magazine’s inaugural Backstage Pass Awards (November 8-9, 2004) in New York City.

“This recognition is really a testament to our terrific staff who work extremely hard in booking the facilities and maximizing opportunities to sell as many tickets as possible,” said Comcast-Spectacor Ventures President Peter Luukko. “We are proud of our accomplishments and thank all of the promoters, producers, entertainers and customers who support the Wachovia Complex on a continuous basis.”

Billboard Magazine’s inaugural Backstage Pass Awards recognizes the top achievements in touring, according to box-office data gathered from Billboard Boxscore reports between November 2003 and September 2004.
