Former Flyer on Habs' Ultimate Team

The Canadian Sports Network announced its Ultimate Montreal Candiens team. A player that began his professional career in Philadelphia and ended in Philly it by winning a Stanley Cup made the squad.

Defenseman Ted Harris, who started a pro career as a member of the Philadelphia Ramblers in the 1956-57 campaign, was named to the 3rd defense team on the ultimate Montreal team.

"What a honor," said Harris. "Doug Harvey was a best." He was named to the first team.

During his 21-year career, Harris played on eight championship teams.

Twice he won the American Hockey League's Calder Trophy with Springfield and another in the league with Cleveland.

In six seasons with the Canadiens, Harris went on win four Stanley Cups and another finals appearance.

Harris and his wife, Carol, make their home in the Phiadelphia/New Jersey area.
