25th Annual Flyers Cup Scholastic Hockey Championships


The 25th annual Flyers Cup scholastic hockey championships will be played at Ice Line (West Chester, PA), the Face Off Circle (Warminster, PA), Grundy Recreation Center (Bristol, PA), The Skatium (Havertown, PA), IceWorks (Aston, PA), Twins Ponds East (Harrisburg, PA) and the Sovereign Bank Flyers Skate Zone (Voorhees, NJ).

The Flyers Cup is formatted in three tiers ("A", "AA", "AAA"). The 44 participating teams are from the following leagues: the Eastern High School Hockey League, the Inter-County Scholastic Hockey League, the Lehigh Valley Scholastic Hockey League, the Lower Bucks County Scholastic Hockey League, the South Jersey High School Ice Hockey League, the Suburban High School Hockey League, and the Central Pennsylvania Ice Hockey League.

Winners of each tier will advance to the Pennsylvania State Championships and face the winners of the Pittsburgh region's Penguins Cup. The State Championship is slated for Saturday, April 10, at the Island Sports Center in Pittsburgh.

The Flyers Cup schedule will be as follows:

  • "AAA" tier Final - Monday, March 29, 7:00 p.m. at Wachovia Spectrum
  • "AA" tier Final - Thursday, March 25, 8:30 p.m. at Face Off Circle
  • "A" tier Final - Wednesday, March 24, 8:45 p.m. at The Skatium

    This year CCM will again sponsor the tournament. Admission to this year's Flyers Cup is $5.00 for all games. All proceeds from the tournament benefit high school hockey and area rinks.
