Recent Flyer Charity Drives

The Philadelphia Flyers hockey fans were at it again recently at the Wachovia Center.

Prior to two games, the fans donated toys to the annual US Marines' Toys for Tots drive.

"We are so happy with the response by the hockey fans," said Joe Sheridan, the Fan Development Coordinator, who handled his first promotion with the team. "The reputation of the Philadelphia hockey fan is fantastic when there is a cause. And, they showed it again."

BLANKETS AND GLOVES

Blankets and men's gloves were collected through the company for St. Francis Inn in Kensington.

The project began with Flyers Fan Development manager Rob Baer heading the drive through the team's offices.

"Our people chipped in to help St. Francis and it was well received at the house," said Baer.

KELLY'S KITCHEN

The 1975 Stanley Cup winning goal scorer--Bob Kelly helped with the drives and helped in kitchen during one of the visits
