Phlex at AHL All-Star Game

Phlex, who is the Philadelphia Phantoms mascot, helps the Flyers Ambassador of Hockey Bob Kelly on the Flyers school assemblies. He recently returned to Philadelphia from the AHL all-star game in Toronto and received a glowing review from Ontario fans.

"Dear Phlex,

I wanted to send my sincere thanks for your kindness and genuiness during the 2007 RBK ALL STAR GAME in Toronto.

We are Toronto fans through and through (sorry ! ! ) But during the All-Star game you were kind enough to go out of your way and stop and sign some autographs for my kids Ryan (7) and Justin (5). Not only did you make sure the guys got a signed autograph photo of you but then you took the time to let the guys wear your Calder Cup Ring and take pictures with each of my boys.

It's truly one of our treasured pictures of our All-Star Game besides actually being on TV and being in on the Front Page of the National Post Newspaper the next day ! !

We just wanted to pass on a personal thanks to yourself and the Phantoms organization for employing such a great mascot but also an amazing person that plays the part. We like you are passionate about hockey, but the reality is it takes people like you within hockey to create the will in our kids to want to go farther in the game.

Such an effort like letting the guys wear the ring is what what need more of in any hockey organization. So on behalf of my family, thank you again and even though were Marlie/Leaf fans in hockey were big Phlex fans now ! ! Sincerely, Dave Eccleston Bolton, Ontario."
