Tuesday Flyers cup Resutlts

SPRINGFIELD (DELCO) 5, GARNET VALLEY 4, OT Springfield Cougars senior forward Von Mondevergine scored the fourth and fifth goals to lead his team to a 5-4 overtime victory in the Flyers Cup A Championships at Ice Line last night. Senior forward Jim Kennedy also scored two while Forwards Phil Eastman also scored.

The victory moves Springfield to the A finals against Penncrest on Saturday at Ice Works (12:00 pm).

PENNCREST 4 HERSHEY 2 (8:45 PM)

Penncrest's Forward Dave Bixter scored two goals in leading the Lions to a Flyers Cup 4-2 victory over the Hershey Trojans. Bixter had three ponts on the night as well as forward Nick Kusturiss (1-2). Forward Chris Toll had the other goal. Patrick Lewis and Tyler Lewis scored for Hershey.

Springfield and Penncrest will meet in the A Championship on Saturday at Ice Works (12:00 pm).
